Logo Design Project
I chose this design because I really like using a lot of color and I thought with the name of the brand I could incorporate lots of color and fun designs. I did the palm tree since we are in Charleston and I thought it added a little touch of my creativity. I used the guidelines by putting in a logo and using the design name and followed all the instructions. I used color out of the C.R.A.P. principles and for contrast I put the red logo in the tye dye design so that it really stood out. I really liked the idea of my design because I was able to put my own ideas into it. I liked this project because we were able to put our ideas to use.

For this poster I went for a simple design, but with a lot of color. I feel like when I am looking at a poster for a concert or a show it is important that it has a big text area so you can see what it is, easy to read, and not too busy. I used the contrast of the black words up against the Alice and Wonderland photo so that the text would really stand out. I thought that by fading the background photo you would be able to see the text clearly.
I think the audience for a show like this, would have to be in the theatre. They would have to be familiar with Alice and Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz and by noticing this colorful poster with throwback photos it would make them want to go and see the show. I was going to use the new text design we learned about in this unit, but I didn’t. I really wanted the text and the photos to be different as if the photos are the background of the poster and if someone wrote text on top.
