LOGO DESIGN

soph's restaurantlogo.jpg

For my design I chose to the restaurant seafood design. I am from Maine so I wanted to add a little bit about myself into the design so that is why I chose a lobster. When I was looking at the logo design guidelines, I made sure that my font was easy to read, and that my design was simple yet creative. I think that it draws in the viewer and with the pop of color the red lobster really stands out. You can see the lobster from near or far away so immediately you know that it has to do with seafood and by looking closer you can see the name of the restaurant. I put the oval shape on the outside of my lobster, because I thought that it really added more to the design. By adding lines for visual design elements I thought it helped to allow the viewer to see the logo as a whole. Together with my color and the contrast of the blue it appeals to an audience that is looking for some good seafood, it also is a childish drawing of a lobster so it shows that it would be more of a family seafood restaurant. My logo would definitely look better bigger rather than smaller since the text is so thick, but even in small I am able to see that what it says and is the lobster still visible and appealing to the eye.

This was a fun idea and I loved how I was able to bring a little bit of home and my own creativity into the project!

CAMPGROUND ICONS

For this design I made campground logos. This project was very challenging for me as it was difficult to make all the small little adjustments in order to make the logos look perfect.

It was fun to learn how to use all the different techniques on Illustrator. Now when I go camping I can make all the different logos!
